Clinical Development

FST-100
FST-100 is in clinical development for the treatment of adenoviral conjunctivitis, a highly contagious, widespread endemic disease associated with frequent epidemics, significant patient discomfort, lost productivity, and in some cases permanent visual damage. There are no therapies approved for adenoviral conjunctivitis by the US FDA or anywhere else in the world.

Adenoviral Conjunctivitis
Ocular adenoviral infection represents a significant public health problem worldwide. A recent study published in the American Journal of Medical Sciences suggests that over $400 million can be saved annually in the U.S. through the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of infectious conjunctivitis.

Adenoviruses are highly resilient and infectious and can easily be transmitted to others in the family, workplace or school. The epidemics caused by adenoviral infection represent a serious public health issue due to their rapid spread and propensity for uncomfortable symptoms.

Besides alleviating an individual's symptoms, FST-100 may decrease the infectivity of adenovirus in patients, have a substantial impact on the spread of disease and lead to significant socio-economic benefits while reducing public health risk.
