Preclinical Dev.

The potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity of FST-100 has been characterized in multiple in-vitro and in-vivo models of infection. In the gold standard (Ad5 NZW) adenoviral model, FST-100 demonstrated superior clinical effectiveness and virucidal activity compared to Cidofovir and Tobradex®:

The decrease in mean plaque-forming units (PFUs), a functional measurement of viable virus, from baseline to day five in the FST-100 group (shown in green), was similar to that of cidofovir (the gold-standard control in experimental and animal studies), and superior to Tobradex (a commercially available combination therapy which also contains dexamethasone), and placebo.
